AN AYAH

The fact that an ayah of Quran can make you sob and  smile at the same time is what should be enough for you to stop loving this dunya.

In Islam, the word ‘Ayat’ also means other things as well than just Quranic verse. It means a sign, miracle or proof. In the Quran, ‘sign’ refers to the creation of the universe, phenomena that influence life on the earth like night, plants, day and rainfall. ‘Miracles’ refer to the rewards that believers and non-believers receive with respect to their actions. In many instances, it also refers to the fate of the people.

In Surah Fussilat (41:53) its mentioned: We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this ˹Quran˺ is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is a Witness over all things?

and at many other places in Quran, Allah asks us to take wisdom from it since its the only way that can help one find answers to questions that we may fail to find otherwise. 

When you realise that Allah talks to you in Quran, nothing more matters to you anymore, when you realise that you are opening Quran for your hidayah only and not for using its ayah as a defence, that’s when you know you have been guided, Alhumdulillah.

He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination” [Quran 64:3]

Meaning: It teaches that the final destination of every Muslim is Allah. He has created each person in the perfect form, and every life revolves around Allah. The verse inspires people when they feel lost or gloomy.

And Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness” [Quran 8:33]

Meaning: This verse teaches Muslims to ask for His mercy and forgiveness. It says that compassion is the most important virtue of life. One must always hope for the best and always have faith in the Almighty.
