LETTERS TO ABBU (EPISODE TWO)

I remember once waiting outside the college’s gate on a very hot summer afternoon looking for my dearest father to come and pick me up, the road was so crowded with people and vehicles that we ended up looking for each other for about 30-45 mins. Eventually I found him. We both were so fatigued by the time that the first thing he said after looking at me was ‘I almost thought that you got fainted because of the scorching sun’. I looked at him, laughed and said ‘abbu dikhne me nazuk lagti hun shayad par itni mazboot tou hun mein’ and after I said this, the smile that I saw on his face was something else (so contagious).

Though a very random talk and sentence it was back then but I had no idea I had to live with that sentence for my rest of my life abba (kamzor hokr bh mazboot banke rehkr) and that too without you.

the cards that little sharmeen used to make for you 💔
